Coauthored by choréographer Salia Sanou and  Antoine Tempé, Afrique, danse contemporaine is a voyage to the rhythms of the moving body. In it, choreographer Salia Sanou relates the spectacular ascent on the world stage of contemporary dance forms from Africa, as viewed through the lens of his own life story; from his childhood in a small village in Burkina Faso to his discovery of traditional dance through initiation, and his later encounter with contemporary dance through the French choreographer Mathilde Monnier.
